Ling Fritid – Your Kayak Rental
The Marieholm Canal is the perfect place to start your paddling adventure. With calm and safe waters, it’s ideal for beginners—while its lakes and scenic surroundings offer a rewarding experience even for more experienced paddlers.
From Marieholm to Hillerstorp, the route is around 10 km, taking you through the canal and across the lakes Mosjön and Flaten. At a relaxed pace, the full journey takes about half a day, including breaks along the way.
Along the route, you’ll experience a varied landscape—paddling through narrow passages, under small bridges, and across open lakes. In the evening, the canal becomes especially magical, with soft light filtering through the trees and reflecting on the calm water.
Take your time to explore along the way. On Lake Mosjön, you’ll find islands to discover, while at Lake Flaten you can stop at Flatenbadet, a family-friendly swimming area with a sandy beach and simple refreshments.
